We also run a train the trainer program to teach other adults how to teach the skill of circus to others. ‘ Circus workshops offer a fantastic experience to build skills and confidence of a broad spectrum of people; it is truly amazing to see the transformation of attitude in participants that discover and engage. Circus Workshops, Shows and Parades Dream State Circus has worked for 2 decades with numerous cultures, community groups, and individuals to create pathways whereby participants help design, create, and deliver a presentation for festivals, community events, and occasions of significance, or just for their peers for fun! This is delivered using extensive experience and resources in teaching and choreography, design and fabrication of the various aspects of entertainment. Whether participants are creating a show, a parade or an event, they thrive and grow with the help of Sophie and Jacob. Specialised Projects for Schools and Community Groups
These photos are a montage of the design procedure, creative process and delivery of the Fish Float Project, for the Joondalup Festival Parade, with the top 3 years of the Hillary’s Primary School.
Photos show the initial concepts worked out in a classroom setting, where the children’s input influenced design, then hands on practical building, the decoration, and the completion. Finally the children get to be a part of the delivery, as they all join in the parade with the fish float and the fish they had made from reused plastic milk bottles, dressed in underwater garb the design won first place, and the school won a cash prize! This project is a prime example of how Dream State Circus has worked with various groups. Teaching a process of design, creation and then delivery to their greater community. |
