There are many different Dream State Workshops to choose from...

Dream Workshops are formatted in different ways depending on the situation in which they are to be taught.
Below are the types of workshop explained.

For specifications please see safety page

Circus Skills Workshops (Open)
These workshops are great for festivals and events aimed at the general public.
Dream State will set up a colourful and vibrant space with bunting and music and provide all the circus equipment needed.
Juggling balls, scarves, clubs, and rings, spinning plates, stilts, unicycles, peddle go's and fun wheels, hula hoops, flower sticks, diablo's, rola bola etc etc...
The workshop is open to everyone and anyone, children play with equipment, each other, their parents, and then parents play with the equipment!!

Both Jacob and Sophie teach and facilitate the workshop, which ususally consists of one to one teaching, encouraging new tricks, participation and self development. The open workshops usually last 2 hours.
Open Circus Skills workshops are great and will create a happy, colourful environment at any event, where everyone eventually joins in!!

Circus Skills Workshops (Closed)
Closed circus skills workshops are based on a static group of participants (no more than 30), and are ideal for school classrooms, and events where people sign up for skills before the event.
The participants need to be there at the beginning of the class and commit to staying until the end.

Jacob and Sophie will facilitate a warm up, and present the different skills to the participants so they learn what can be done with each piece of equipment available, (for list of equipment see open Workshops). The participants are then given free flow creative time with the equipment, and Sophie and Jacob facilitate and help people one on one. These workshops vary in length depending on the size and age of participants.

Within this workshop, if the group would like to work on one piece of equipment, i.e. juggling, Sophie and Jacob can teach a more in depth session involving the chosen subject.

These workshops are wonderful for encouraging, self awareness, self confidence, a positive mental attitude, right and left brain coordination and cover many of the key stage 1 and 2 P.E. requirements, (see National Curriculum) whilst at the same time being alot of fun!!

Acrobalance Workshop
Acrobalance consists of 2 or more poeple using each other's bodies to balance.
Dream State Circus teaches acrobalance workshops only to closed groups as it is a vital part of the workshop that everybody warms up and warms down, in a series of stretches which Dream State Circus lead.
These classes can teach and dream state promotes, trust in each other, the ability to work together, self confidence, group cooporation that leaves the class invigorated and with a vast sense of achievement.

Aerial Workshops
Sophie teaches aerial workshops in silks and trapeze. These are also closed workshops.
Adult sessions 2 hours.

Larger Workshop Projects
If you are looking for a number of workshops, culminating into a specific event, i.e. A Group Show or a Themed Parade, starring the workshop participants we love these projects. We have provided the workshops and created with the children The Mouth Of the River Tyne Parade, North Tyneside, U.K. for the last 2 years, 2006-7. We worked with local children to provide the 3B festivals in Sutton, Lewisham and Enfield (London) with their amazing public show in 2005 and 2006.
